Guild Wars and The Sword To Rule Them All

Hello, and welcome to Escape Reality Comics Podcast Show. I'm your host, Chad. Unfortunately, Kevin is not gonna be here today. He's not feeling so well. So the title of today is Guild Wars and the sword to rule them all. So today what I'm talking about Guild Wars, and it is Saturday, so we'll give you the comp book of the week. Also, well, Guild Wars. So for those who are not well informed with it, so kind of give you like a generic, you know, here it is. Guild Wars is an online role playing game that is similar to World of Warcraft, not to confused with Guild Wars two, which is the sequel to Guild Wars. So reason why I'm bringing this whole story up is actually quite interesting. A sword has finally been found that it has been hidden for eight years. So developers just kind of made a sword for Guild Wars and just put it somewhere and they haven't talked about it. They haven't give out clues for eight years. So how this came about is that former arenanet developer Matthew Moore respond to a tweet asking game developers what were the best easter eggs they hit in a game. So more gave us a clue to a starting point where to find a sword that he hid in the original Guild Wars named silver edge. Well, after he gave it that clue, he put it out there on Reddit. First on the tweet then came on later on to on Reddit and had this community so it took three days to find silver edge with more chiming in with a riddle once in a while to help the Guild Wars community on Reddit. So you would think after they found this sword, the sword will be the sword the most badassary of swords ever been made, that you can actually just hit one hit somebody and well, silver edge wasn't anything special at all, the stats was at most subpar, you at least had a cool trophy. I mean, that's the only thing you had. So Moore did chime in after everything was said and done Moore did chime in saying that he wouldn't make the puzzle better, or not have it laying in silence for nearly a decade. Comic of the day is Saturday, the comedy day is going to be a little different today. It's not going to be comic book at all. I know. I know. Maybe I should call it a book of the week. But the comic book of the week is going to be

Ghost of Ascalon. So usually I just gave you like the comic book of the week, and I just kind of let it go and just see what you guys do with it. I would like to to do something different this time. So I'm going to actually read you the scription of this book. Since we are talking about Guild Wars today. Tell you the scription with a dramatic music in the background. So you raise ready for this here we go. Whoo. Feel it So Guild Wars ghost of Ascalon. 250 years ago, Ascalon burned . . . Desperate to defend his land from advancing hordes of bestial charr, King Adelbern summoned the all-powerful Foefire to repel the invaders. But magic can be a double-edged swordthe Foefire burned both charr and human alike. While the charr corpses smoldered, the slain Ascalonians arose again, transformed by their kings rage into ghostly protectors and charged with guarding the realm . . . forever. The once mighty kingdom became a haunted shadow of its former glory. Centuries later, the descendants of Ascalon, exiled to the nation of Kryta, are besieged on all sides. To save humankind, Queen Jennah seeks to negotiate a treaty with the hated charr. But one obstacle remains. The charr legions wont sign the truce until their most prized possession, the Claw of the Khan-Ur,is returned from the ruins of fallen Ascalon. Now a mismatched band of adventurers, each plagued by ghosts of their own, sets forth into a haunted, war-torn land to retrieve the Claw. Without the artifact, there is no hope for peace between human and charrbut the undead king who rules Ascalon wont give it up easily, and not everyone wants peace! Well, hope you guys enjoyed that.
